From NYC to California...
5 years ago, we met while working together in New York City. Dave says he knew Serena was interested in him immediately, and he was playing “hard to get.” He pretended to like smoked salmon for her, she pretended she knew more about hockey for him. After spending a summer together, we met each other’s families, and we fell in love. And we can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

THE PROPOSAL
2018 was a big year for us!
We bought our first new car, we adopted our first dog together, and we both turned 30. For Serena’s 30th birthday, we went on a Southern California road trip to visit family and friends. For Dave’s 30th birthday, we celebrated by “glamping” at Ventana Big Sur.
On the morning of our departure from Big Sur, Dave wanted to go on a hike to see a waterfall. Since it was his birthday, she tried not to be disappointed when all the waterfall trails were closed! They kept hiking anyway, and at the top of the hill, Dave got down on one knee and proposed. The rest (and the best!) is yet to come!
